Black Shepherd Consulting was founded by Dr. Hailey Harroun White, a veterinarian, U.S. Army officer, and animal welfare advocate with experience in clinical medicine, preventive medicine, working-dog care, and professional education.
Her work has shown her how closely animal welfare is connected to daily routines, handling practices, environments, and organizational decisions. She brings a practical understanding of animal care operations and a commitment to helping teams translate scientific evidence into meaningful improvements.
Through Black Shepherd Consulting, she combines veterinary expertise, teaching, and analytical skills to help organizations better understand their animals’ needs and evaluate whether their efforts are making a difference.
